Handpiece Headquarters

The last several months have been a whirlwind for us. We have spent a lot of time reviewing products, processes, and website functionality and acting on what we have found. We wanted to catch you up on all the work we have been doing to make your dental repair easier.

Overall, we removed lots of redundant or little-used products to create less confusion when trying to decide which parts to use for your handpiece repairs.

  1. We have removed all the PPS, white cage material, and bearings and replaced them with PAEK or phenolic versions. We heard our customers complaints and acted upon  them. The remainder of the PPS bearings are on sale for clearance at an extreme discount.
  2. Every brand and model category on the website has been reviewed and we've made sure every part needed is listed in the right category. We had several gaps with models missing parts or having the wrong parts listed, and they have been cleaned that up. Everything you need is in the make-and-model category.
  3. Names of every products have been reviewed to make sure they were listed correctly as either Extend or Perfection and that the descriptions all had uniform styling. Where they are exceptions to the Perfection or Extend products they are now listed in the description.
  4. Perfection Turbines made with steel bearings have been removed.
    1. Ceramic bearings are the standard on most handpiece models now, and we wanted to keep in line with the OEM. When reviewing turbines that had both options, the ceramic outsold the steel buy very large amounts. We still have steel radial bearings and bearing kits for those wishing to rebuild with them.
    2. There are a few exceptions to this, depending on the make and model.
  5. We are removing all steel angular contact bearings. There was no demand to have ceramic and steel angular contact bearings when the price difference was 2 or 3 dollars. The ceramics always outsold the steel by large amounts.
    1. There are a few exceptions to this, depending on the make and model.
  6. Tech Central definitions have been updated where applicable to ensure all descriptions match fully with our brands.
  7. Turbine diagrams that list all the parts included have all been reviewed and updated and we have linked relative parts on the product pages. Getting all these updated is a time-consuming process, but it makes sure everything matches across the website.
  8. We moved a large number of items to clearance, and they are still available at up to 85% off dealer prices until they run out and feature full warranties where applicable.

This was the largest product review to the website and our offerings in years, and we are confident that finding the correct part and getting the necessary specifications for them will be easier and more reliable. As the leading supplier of dental handpiece repair parts you expect more from Handpiece Headquarters than from the other company, and we mean to deliver.  Later this year, we hope to increase the ease of finding parts and have plans on how to implement them as soon as possible.

Looking ahead, we're committed to further enhancing your experience with us. Stay tuned for upcoming improvements aimed at making parts procurement even easier and more efficient for you.
